GYAPO!!

Nodame Cantabile
のだめカンタービレ

Cantabile- Musical term meaning literally "singable" or "songlike"

I know I should probably be typing about what happened in Victorian Valentine, ヘ(^_^;) but let's leave that for another nothing-to-do Sunday and focus on an anime i've been hooked on for the passed weekend.

Honestly, from seeing the teaser Animax has aired since the start of February, the ever-cliche concept of a polar-opposite couple has enticed me. And since the plot circles around my ideal sort of man, It caught my attention immediately. Sadly though, the time slot is everyday at around 11:30pm. I can't stick to that regularly, so I succumbed to torrent and ended up watching the whole series in two days. Man, I'm hooked!

Since I am far too lazy to describe the whole anime to you, I will do so by copy-pasting Anime News Network's description.
(・∀・)

Genres: comedy, romance, slice of life
Themes: music
Plot Summary: At a top music academy in Japan, Shinichi Chiaki's arrogance is matched only by his top-notch piano playing. But when Chiaki and the teacher get into a fight, he's demoted to the reject class. Chiaki is left to pursue his dream of being a conductor while surrounded by a bunch of loser musicians and one annoying girl, Noda, who has proclaimed herself Chiaki's girlfriend. It doesn't help that Noda, who insists on being called Nodame, lives right next door to him.

Although one concept I'm sort of bothered with is the tendency for anime to portray the female protagonist as someone who can't function properly without the one she's in love with. Sometimes I wish the boy would be the one disheveled & needy and the girl would be the one to remain sane. (*´ο`*)=3 Even so, this anime has reached to me deeply, dodging my prejudices and touching the pinnacle of my emotions like a song in the ears of an eager listener. ギャーッ!

I'm a big fan of Classical Music
myself.. 2/4's of the music in my Ipod consists of classical music, 1/8 Opera... Sadly though, none of my friends share the same interest and intrigue as I do about classical music.. So It's usually just my mom whom accompanies me during Philharmonic concerts and such ( ̄へ ̄)So that aside, I recommend anyone who needs something to do, something to make them ROFL literally, watch Nodame Cantabile as soon as you get the time to!
